We collect information in the following ways:
Booking information you provide directly: name, phone number, email, pickup and drop-off address, and preferred time windows
Payment information processed through our payment providers (such as card details, cryptocurrency wallet information, or buy-now-pay-later application data) — Stash It does not store full card numbers or wallet keys itself
Item photos and condition notes taken at pickup and return, used to verify item condition and resolve any disputes
Communications you send us via WhatsApp, email, or our website contact forms
Basic website usage data (such as pages visited or general location) collected automatically through our website platform and any analytics or cookies it uses


2. How We Use Your Information
To schedule, confirm, and carry out pickups, storage, and deliveries
To process payments and send booking confirmations or receipts
To communicate with you about your booking, including delays, reminders, or issues
To resolve claims regarding item condition, loss, or damage
To improve our services, respond to inquiries, and, where you've agreed to it, send occasional marketing messages or promotions
To comply with applicable legal, tax, or regulatory obligations


3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
Payment processors (such as Stripe, our BNPL partner, or cryptocurrency payment services) solely to process transactions
Our couriers and team members, to the extent needed to carry out your pickup, storage, or delivery
Service providers who help us operate our website, booking system, or communications (for example, our website hosting provider)
Authorities, where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent fraud or harm
Any third party that processes information on our behalf is expected to protect it and use it only for the purpose we've asked them to.


4. Payment Information
Card payments, cryptocurrency payments, and buy-now-pay-later applications are handled directly by our payment providers' secure systems. Stash It does not directly store complete payment card numbers, cryptocurrency private keys, or full BNPL application details on its own systems.


5. Cookies & Website Data
Our website, built on Wix, may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, remember preferences, and understand general visitor traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how parts of the website work.


6. Data Retention
We retain booking information, item photos, and communication records for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve any claims, and meet our legal, accounting, or tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized where appropriate.


7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. Colombian data protection law (Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing regulations) grants individuals in Colombia the right to know, update, rectify, and delete their personal data, and to revoke consent for its use where applicable.
